Inclement Weather Schedule
While Keystone College cannot completely close for bad weather when we have resident students living on campus, we can delay or cancel classes and some administrative activities due to inclement weather.
The decision to cancel or delay the start of classes will be made by 6 a.m. and public announcements will follow. If later start times or additional cancellations are necessary, announcements will note the change and be made in a timely manner.

Compressed Schedule
In the event morning classes are delayed due to inclement weather, Keystone College will operate on a compressed class schedule.

Inclement Weather Policy and Messages
In the event of snow or other inclement weather, Keystone College may close the campus for part or all of the day or operate remotely.
If the College modifies its regular hours of operation, the announcement of the decision will be:
- Posted on the Keystone College website.
- Emailed to the campus community.
- Texted through the Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS), available to all students, parents, faculty, and staff. Register for WENS.
- Announced on various television stations.
To prioritize the safety and well-being of the Keystone College community, the College will proactively share weather information that may affect operations.
Keystone College is closed:
- When the College is closed, all classes are canceled.
- Only essential employees will report when the College is closed. Essential employees include Campus Safety, Facilities, Sodexo, and live-in Residence Life Staff.
- Unless otherwise specified, all scheduled events, including student activities, meetings, and organized athletic practices and competitions, are canceled.
- The Hibbard Campus Center, including Student Success and the Student Restaurant, will remain open for resident students only. Miller Library will be closed.
- Student Restaurant hours are 11 AM – 2 PM and 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
- The Children’s Center will be closed if the College is closed.
Keystone College will operate remotely:
- Classes will resume remotely (synchronously, asynchronously, or through a substitute activity) as determined by the faculty member. Faculty members are responsible for posting announcements in Moodle and emailing students as soon as possible with further instructions regarding class.
- Only essential employees will report when the College operates remotely. Essential employees include Campus Safety, Facilities, Sodexo, and live-in Residence Life Staff.
- Unless otherwise specified, all scheduled events, including student activities, meetings, and organized athletic practices and competitions, are canceled.
- The Hibbard Campus Center, including Student Success and the Student Restaurant, will remain open for resident students only. Miller Library will be closed.
- Student Restaurant hours are 11 AM – 2 PM and 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
- The Children’s Center will be closed.
Keystone College will open at 10 AM:
- Classes will begin at 10 AM and operate on a compressed schedule.
- College Offices open at 10 AM, including Miller Library.
- All scheduled events, including student activities, meetings, and organized athletic practices, before 10 AM are canceled or may be rescheduled for after 10 AM.
- The Children’s Center opens at 10:30 AM.
Keystone College is closing at (12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM, etc.):
- Classes scheduled after the announced college closing time are canceled.
- Only essential employees should remain on campus if necessary.
- All scheduled events set to begin after the announced college closing time are canceled.
- The Hibbard Campus Center, including Student Success and the Student Restaurant, will remain open for resident students only. Miller Library closes at the announced closing time.
- The Children’s Center closes at the announced college closing time.
